Our newsletter is called INVERSION, why?
In some ways, it is a play on words from the point of view that this should be seen as a DIVERSION for Leaders wishing to spend more and more time “on-the-business”, looking for new ways, sometimes counter-intuitive (INVERSION) to continuing and accelerating their Organisation’s development; a catalyst to trigger their creative juices. INVERSION also reflects our belief in the Inverted Pyramid Business Structure (or in any case, philosophy). We wish to make reference here to Tom Voccola’s book “The Accidental CEO", where he notes that traditional wisdom has got it the wrong way round, about how Leaders wish to empower their Staff! A very humbling and powerful approach to life, business, success and achievement. You would do well to read this formidable Business Fiction Story to fully understand the power of this previous statement.
This book, in our opinion, is a guiding beacon for those of us that wish to excel as Leaders way beyond the norm and to our full potential. To paraphrase Tom’s words, it is us, the Leaders that need to be empowered by our managers and those managers by their staff towards our Vision as Leaders of our Organisations!
Are you empowered by your team?
This philosophy underpins the long held belief by CxO Consulting that an organisational structure should take the shape of an Inverted Pyramid. This is where the CEO and Board are support resources for their staff who in-turn support their customers. So the name INVERSION, as well as being a Diversion, is also a reference to our belief that Executives should strive to garner staff empowerment and exist to support their staff, thus turning Successful Organisations into Great Organisations with significant growth impacts to the bottom-line!
We trust you enjoy our newsletter and share this with your Leader colleagues.
